The School Communicator is an integrated communications solution that allows us to communicate with parents using a variety of tools.
Downloading from the Playstore / Apple Store
FROM A SMARTPHONE (ANDROID) –should be similar for other mobile devices. Also available on your PC.
1.Find your “Play Store” on your phone. Go in by clicking on the little “suitcase”Play Store icon.
2.Enter “d6 School Communicator” in the search bar at the top that says “Google Play” to search for it.
3.Click on the “d6 School Communicator” option.
4.Now click on “INSTALL” on the d6 School Communicator screen.
5.You may be asked to “ACCEPT” that d6 School Communicator needs to access your Identity and Photos if it is the first time you download the App. (This is only used if you upload photos to the App, which you will not be required to do.)
6. You will see that the App now downloads and installs. Once “installing” is complete, press on “OPEN”.
7. Fill in your Name and Email, and click on “Continue”.
8. Now select “South Africa”, under Pick Country.
9. Select “Gauteng” in the blue bar at the top of your screen. You will now see the school options, with Laerskool Uitsig becoming visible if you scroll down.
10. Click on Laerskool Uitsig for a “tick” to appear next to the name and a small arrow to appear on the bottom right hand side of your screen. Click on this arrow to enter…
11. You will now be on the “Notice Board” page of the App. Scroll right to enter other the other pages.
